It's hard for me not to associate cleaning the hospital walls with old obsessive compulsive patterns of behavior.
The earthquake brings to mind the proper metaphor for dramatic changes of your inner territory. The earth shouldn't move like water and the ground upon which I am standing fall away from me.
And there is tremendous grief over the loss of our neurosis, our habits, our fear.
