I think not.
But you are on the right course. We each have a shadow side. It is often defined by self destructive tendecies, like this girl you know wanting to be treated 'like shit.'
Other shadow sides are attracted to people or situations that suck them dry trying to help.
So dreams tell us stories about what our hidden intentions are and it is up to you to search in your own shadow to see what is hidden.
