Entering the garden from the shadows of the city is a move all of us want to make. That you did so with your son and were attended to by strong gentle men is reassuring.
I believe that our task, those of us concerned with integration and wholeness, is to find this eternal garden within our own psyche and protect its borders.
Robert Moore in his book about the King, Magician, Warrior, and Lover discusses the idea that our internal lover wants to stay in the garden forever, that is its shadow function, but the warrior in us wants to protect the borders of the garden so that we can come in and out at will.
So for this dream garden to fulfill its nature, you must be able to find the gate in and out of it, find a way to protect is boundaries, and continue to have the trust in your masculine function to protect you and your son while living in the world and rejoicing in the idyllic garden.
