The Ancient Greeks and others imagine the the Underworld as the place where unfinished tasks or lives are completed.
The Underworld has turned into Hell by the Christian lexicon but in depth psychology retains its more neutral Hades positon.
The descent into this region must happen if we are to be initiated.
The next time your dead grandpa comes up from the abyss, or when you are ready to choice such and adventure, go on down and take a look.
It is the region which holds all that has been banished, sent away, or otherwise avoided.
And as such a place holds untold of power.
